Practice Areas
David predominantly advises and represents employers. He also deals with settlement agreements and senior exits.
David enjoys the technical challenges that Employment Law involves, as well as the people-oriented focus, operating within a commercial environment. He aims to resolve situations in a way that allows both the employer and employee to move forward positively.
He advises on internal matters, including grievances and disciplinaries, restrictive covenants, and the application of and obligations arising under TUPE. He has an interest in the law on whistleblowing.
David has experience handling all types of Tribunal cases, including various forms of discrimination and victimisation, as well as unfair and constructive dismissal.
He also has experience in the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
David prides himself on developing a good rapport with clients, ensuring that they appreciate his understanding of how their organisation works and the outcomes they are looking to achieve. He strives to be considered an important part of the client’s team.

David graduated in law from the University of Liverpool in 2001.
Career
David undertook the Bar Vocational Course at Nottingham Law School and cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2008. Having trained as an advocate, he regularly appears in the Employment Tribunal, providing clients with continuity in case preparation and presentation.
David has practiced Employment Law since 2003, beginning his career in a consultancy representing employers at Tribunals. He qualified as a solicitor in 2008.
