A partner in the litigation department, specialising in pursuer personal injury and medical negligence claims. David is also one of the firm’s Risk Assessment Partners for speculative actions. He has settled claims recently for total damages in excess of £5M for clients who suffered the loss of a loved one and for a client who sustained significant injuries in a RTA. He acts for the largest teachers union in Scotland, the EIS, and regularly advises their members who have been involved in workplace accidents or have suffered from stress as a result of working conditions.
Trained Gilruth Pollock and Smith and qualified 1985; Bennett and Robertson, then MacBeth Currie before being assumed as a partner at Balfour+Manson in 1999.
