David is a full-time arbitrator and mediator, with a practice covering a wide range of international commercial disputes. He is regularly appointed in arbitrations conducted under the rules of international arbitral institutions, as well as on an ad hoc basis. His appointments include proceedings under the rules of the LCIA, ICC, LMAA, SIAC, SCC, NAI and UNCITRAL. His recent arbitral appointments have included disputes concerning shipping and shipbuilding, commodities, energy, oil rigs and finance.

David's mediation practice focuses on complex, often international disputes including shipping and maritime claims, superyachts, commodity sales, finance and derivatives.

He practised as a barrister for over thirty years before becoming a full-time arbitrator and mediator.
