Daniela Fassheber is a senior partner of Pinheiro Guimarães and co-heads the Tax practice of the firm. Daniela has an impressive track record in complex and challenging corporate and tax planning in several industries. Additionally, Daniela's continued practice, especially in tax planning, strategy for auctions of power generation and transmission projects and complex M&A transactions, resulted in her being involved in some of the most significant tax discussions in Brazil. She has developed strong and long-standing relationship with major investment banks and other players in the energy sector in Brazil over the last years. Daniela is able to combine her extensive experience in tax planning with valuable legal knowledge of heavily regulated sectors in Brazil and deep technical knowledge of corporate law, being praised and respected by her superior negotiation skills and ability to provide advice in cross-border and large-cap deals. As a key partner co-heading the Tax practice, Daniela Fassheber is also often involved in discussions of different types of transactions in other practices of the firm, such as capital markets transactions, international financing (including issuance of bonds and notes), M&A, contracts and debt restructuring, and always provides creative and qualitative analysis. Daniela is also active in all tax issues arising out of EPC and TSA agreements, addressing complex issues that commonly arise in this type of transactions.
