Clive Dobbin is a Partner and Head of the Employment Team. He deals with all aspects of employment law, but has a particular expertise in the employment aspects of corporate transactions, restrictive covenants and confidentiality issues, TUPE and complex discrimination claims. Clive is an experienced employment tribunal advocate and will generally conduct a tribunal case from start to finish. Clive has acted on a number of appeals to the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
Clive represents a range of clients from large PLCs through to family businesses and individuals. He has a particular focus on the education sector, and represents a number of local schools and colleges. He was previously vice chair of governors at Totton College and is currently a governor at Havant and South Downs College, where he is chair of the HR committee.
Clive is a member of the management committee of the Employment Lawyers Association. Clive is also the Employment Lawyers Association’s representative on the Law Society Council.
Clive regularly speaks at conferences and provides training to clients on a wide range of topics. He has also appeared on television and radio providing commentary on legal issues.
