Claudia Ines Benavides Galvis

Claudia is internationally recognized as a leading authority in the field of Dispute Resolution. She has more than 26 years of experience in international and domestic arbitration, litigation and other ADR mechanisms in an array of sectors, including, infrastructure, energy, construction, oil& gas, mining, and pharma.

Before founding Benavides Mejía Dispute Resolution, Claudia was the Global Chair of Baker McKenzie’s Dispute Resolution practice group between 2019 and 2024. Prior to serving in the global role, Claudia was the Regional Chair of Baker McKenzie’s Latin America DR practice, where she also led the litigation and arbitration practice in Colombia since 2010.

Claudia currently serves a as a Member of the Court of the International Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Board of the Club Español e Iberoamericano de Arbitraje, and a member of the Council of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center.
