Clarel Benoit read law at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, England and is a barrister of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, England.
A former state counsel and magistrate, he was also a lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of Mauritius and taught company law at the Council of Legal Education.
