Chris is a leading junior with twenty-five years of experience defending clients in the most serious criminal cases. He has a reputation for winning cases against the odds. He leads other counsel as well as appearing with King's Counsel.

Chris’s cases often involve complex expert evidence, such as low-copy DNA, telephone cell-site and Encrochat, cryptocurrency and computer misuse.

He has a strong record of defending minority groups, especially members of the LGBT+ community. He represents those with complex needs or suffering mental impairment.

Chris delivered lecture at the Treasury to members of the Cabinet Office on “Fraud, Defence and Disclosure”. He has also delivered a talk to Top Tier family law firm, Rayden Solicitors, on "Controlling or Coercive Domestic Abuse" along with leading solicitor Michael Herford of Legal Lifelines.

Chris has published articles on 'Witnesses and Victims of Crime: A Survival Guide" (2020) and a short guide to police stop and search powers.
