A solid set which offers substantial expertise in a wide range of criminal matters. Its members are regularly seen in the Old Bailey and are well versed in handling serious cases, including high-profile murders, manslaughters, firearms and drugs matters, often appearing on the defence side. They recently acted for Gaille Bola in a murder case involving a fatal stabbing that arose out of a drug rivalry. Other recent cases of note include R v Majewski and Others, a high-profile people trafficking/slavery/fraud case in Newcastle.

Client service: A satisfied solicitor states: "They are a very friendly bunch. I've used nearly all of their barristers, and I'm very happy with the service I've received. They seem to care, and if there's a minor niggle it will be addressed." Senior clerk Bob Archer is credited with much of the set's recent progress.

Claire Davies
Strengths: "She has fantastic attention to detail and superb client handling skills. She knows the court inside out and robustly defends using skills she has gained from sitting as a recorder to sensibly negotiate her way around any case."

Graham Arnold
Strengths: "He's your man if you've got a case that requires a barrister with some teeth and the willingness to use them. He's got a very well balanced set of skills."

Ian Henderson QC
Strengths: "A superb advocate, who explains things tremendously well to ensure any jury can follow the most complicated expert evidence. And despite the two extra letters after his name he's extremely approachable to any lay client."

Molly Pinkus
Strengths: "She really is brilliant – super clever. She established a really good rapport with my client and delivered a great result for him. In my opinion she should be a silk."
