Chris is a Partner and a member of the firm’s International Trade, White Collar Defense and Investigations, and ESG practice groups. Chris helps clients solve problems that arise at the intersection of U.S. national security, foreign policy, and international trade regulation. He advises clients on compliance with U.S. export control (ITAR and EAR), economic sanctions, and foreign investment regulation and advocates before the departments of State (DDTC), Treasury (OFAC and CFIUS), Commerce (BIS), Homeland Security (CBP), and Justice in licensing requests, investigations, disclosures, civil and criminal enforcement actions, and investment reviews. He also helps clients craft efficient international trade and human rights compliance systems, mitigate forced labor risk in their supply chains, and win difficult-to-obtain export control and sanctions authorizations to support global R&D, supply chains, and sales. His clients span economic sectors and range in size from start-ups to Global 500 companies.
