Practice Areas

Christopher Q. King, Partner at Redgrave LLP, is recognized as a leader in information law and has devoted his practice to discovery, eDiscovery, and information governance. Unlike many litigators who concentrate in a limited number of substantive areas, Chris has managed discovery strategy across a broad spectrum of complex litigation, including numerous multi-district and class actions in federal and state court. Chris has significant experience in matters involving both U.S. discovery and international cross-border data transfer issues, as well as securities litigation, director and officer fiduciary and shareholder litigation, antitrust litigation, trade secret litigation, products liability, environmental litigation, and consumer fraud.

Chris’s extensive experience also spans multiple industries. He has represented clients in the insurance, banking, securities, manufacturing, retail, technology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, energy, and healthcare sectors; and has litigated class actions, multidistrict litigation, and other types of complex litigation around the country. Whether in court, writing briefs, or negotiating on behalf of a client, Chris prides himself on being a hands-on attorney who recognizes the strong link between eDiscovery and the overall strategy for litigating the merits of the case. Chris regularly advises clients in matters of eDiscovery, information governance, and privacy, and is a valuable asset to those he represents.

Chris is a sought after speaker, panelist, and presenter. He regularly participates at The Sedona Conference®, EDI Leadership Summit, and the Georgetown Advanced eDiscovery Institute as an authority on eDiscovery and information governance. Prior to joining Redgrave LLP, Chris was a Partner at Dentons, where he founded and led the eDiscovery and Information Governance practice for the U.S. region. Chris also served as a clerk to Robert Murphy, Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals of Maryland.
