Chris focuses his litigation practice on resolving complicated disputes for corporate clients, primarily in the oil and gas, energy, and real estate industries. He has experience representing operators, working interest owners, royalty owners, and oilfield service providers in federal court, state court, and arbitration proceedings. His practice niches include mineral rights disputes such as pooling and commingling, ownership, and royalty payment issues. A true enthusiast of the oil and gas industry and its history, Chris brings a depth of knowledge and experience to assist his clients across the energy industry.

In 2020, Chris founded Hogan Thompson Schuelke LLP, a Houston litigation boutique focused on oil and gas litigation. He previously worked at Reynolds Frizzell LLP and Susman Godfrey LLP. Chris also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Jerry E. Smith on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
