Career
Mr Caufield’s practice covers UK and international disputes and he has experience in a wide range of high-value contentious work in the English courts, arbitration and expert determination. He also provides high-level tactical advice and support in relation to domestic litigation in overseas common law jurisdictions.
Mr. Caulfield is also one of the UK’s leading lawyers in the field of economic sanctions and export controls. He assists clients faced with investigations by national authorities and advises clients in relation to the requirements of UK and EU law, including in the context of complex cross-border transactions. Mr Caulfield leads Baker Botts’ UK and EU sanctions and export controls team, which was named Law Firm of the Year (Europe) in 2021 at the World ECR Awards.
