Chrissie Edwards

Chrissie is a Partner, and Head of the Property Department at Bennett Griffin LLP specialising in Commercial Property.

Chrissie is proud to lead a team that has been commended in The Legal 500 for four consecutive years as well as recognised in the Chambers UK Legal Guide 2026. These acknowledgements reflect both her department’s technical expertise and their commitment to delivering clear, pragmatic advice that helps clients achieve their commercial objectives.

Chrissie originally joined Bennett Griffin in November 2014 as part of their Elderly Client team before taking some time off to travel. She returned to Bennett Griffin in February 2017 and has been part of the Commercial Property Department ever since.

Acted for a number of individuals and group companies on the re-structure and re-finance of their property portfolio, including 10 different properties (both residential and commercial) with a total value of £7 million.

Commercial Landlord and Tenant – acting for both landlords and tenants on grants, assignments, variations and surrenders of leases.

Freehold sales and purchases – including conditional contracts and option agreements for land and property either with vacant possession or subject to leases.

Property finance – including acquisition funding or subsequent refinance for a single site or multi property portfolios

Auction sales – either preparing an auction pack for the seller and dealing with completion following a successful sale or reviewing an auction pack for a prospective buyer prior to auction

Acting for a variety of different clients including individuals, companies, pension trusts, parish councils and charities
