Tim practices in Personal Injury and Medical Negligence, specialising in claims that involve complex and life changing injuries. Tim has a particular interest in cycling accidents. He has a wealth of experience dealing with brain injuries and spinal cord injury (including claims involving Cauda Equina Syndrome).

Tim is clear that his job is more than just providing advice to his clients. Tim and his team ensure that clients obtain the rehabilitation they require at an early stage that so often makes such a difference to their recovery. Serious injury can have a huge impact on clients and their families and Tim's advice is always practical and targeted to the needs of his clients and their families.

Career

Having spent the majority of his career with two Top 100 law firms, Tim now heads the Personal Injury department at Bennett Griffin. He is Deputy Head of Dispute Resolution with responsibility for strategic growth.

Tim is Chair of Governors at a Primary School and Charity Trustee. When not being kept busy by two young children Tim will often be found on his bike ascending the hills of the Sussex Downs exceptionally slowly!

Work Highlights

Tim advises Claimants who have sustained serious injuries. Examples of matters he has acted in include:

1. Advising a client who had developed Cauda Equina Syndrome following a collision with a vehicle. Tim's client recovered in excess of £3 million.

2. Advising a client who had developed a functional neurological disorder following a brain injury. Tim's client recovered over £1 million.

3. Advising a client who was injured when run over by a forklift whilst at work. Tim's client recovered over £750,000.

4.Advising a client knocked over by an uninsured driver whilst cycling to Ireland. Tim's client sustained multiple orthopaedic injuries necessitating a number of complex surgeries.

5.Advising a client who developed cauda equina syndrome due to a negligent hospital failing to provide adequate care.
