Chris advises on all aspects of trust and foundation law to individuals, fiduciaries and other service providers. As part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Trusts Advisory Group, his experience extends to both contentious and non-contentious matters of Guernsey trust law. He also advises on international and domestic pensions and employment incentive and benefit plans.
He is a Partner in the Private Wealth team. As well as advising trust companies and high net worth individuals on the creation, administration, and restructuring of all types of trusts and foundations, Chris provides advice on pensions matters.
He is a member of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team and has considerable experience advising on fund formation and capital raising, downstream corporate advisory work and related finance matters.
Chris trained with a leading UK regional firm, qualifying in September 2012 into their international trusts and tax department. Prior to joining Ogier in May 2017, Chris worked in the private wealth department of a top 20 City firm. He also has prior offshore experience. Chris studied History at Warwick University before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practitioners Course at BPP Law School in London. During the course of his career, Chris has also completed the STEP foundation certificate and the Association of Tax Technicians exams.
