Chris Boyle

DR. CHRIS BOYLE is a life sciences lawyer and qualified veterinarian who advises and litigates in the highly regulated fields of human and veterinary medicinal products, medical devices, biocides, chemicals, food, and feed. Chris provides practical regulatory advice across life-sciences matters, guides clients through life-sciences disputes, coordinates multi-jurisdictional compliance projects, and supports complex life sciences corporate transactions and private equity deals.

Chris has extensive experience guiding companies throughout the product lifecycle, from product development and clinical trials through to regulatory approval, market access, advertising, and post commercialisation. When companies hit bumps in the road, Chris helps clients to obtain and maintain regulatory approvals and valuable IP regulatory rights, represents clients before regulators (including MHRA, VMD, FSA and ASA) and defends clients’ interests before the courts - including an award-winning case before the UK Supreme Court. Chris spearheads Sidley’s Animal Health practice, chairs Sidley’s Animal Health Legal Forum, and is noted for his strategic insight on emerging regulatory frameworks, including the evolving pharmaceutical and medical device regulations.
