Chiagozie acts for several multinational and indigenous oil and gas companies within and outside Nigeria. He was a member of the Technical Committee of the Special Task Force for the Petroleum Industry Bill, which proposes a restructuring of the oil and gas sector.
Highlights of his recent work include: advising MRI Nigeria Limited (a Cayman Islands company) and its subsidiaries on the $250 million acquisition of 48% working interest in the Tom Shot Bank field and advising Eland Oil and Gas Plc in a series of Reserve Base Lending facilities from a consortium of banks, totaling $ 205 million. He has also acted for clients in the arrangement and negotiation of Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs), processing applications for leases and licences, farm-ins and farm-outs, Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs), and financing.
He is recognized as a domain expert and is a regular attendee and facilitator at events of the Oil & Gas Council.
