Chantal is a partner at Cleary Gottlieb. Fluent in Spanish, French, and English, her practice focuses on international business and financing transactions, particularly those involving Latin America. Chantal regularly represents blue-chip companies, state-owned entities, and investment funds in their M&A, financing, and infrastructure development activity in the region and globally, as well as multinationals in their investments throughout the area. Frequently recognized and awarded by the leading industry publications, Chantal’s work bridges M&A and finance to devise creative solutions to her clients’ biggest challenges. With extensive experience in a wide range of industries, her clients include: Coca-Cola FEMSA, CFE, Codelco, The Government of Puerto Rico, Grupo Bimbo, LATAM Airlines, Mitsui, Pemex, Posadas, and Vitro, among many others.

Career

Chantal joined the firm in 1997 and became Partner in 2008. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. from Amherst College, of which she is the chair of the Board of Trustees.
