Practice: Celso is a practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in International Economic Law. He has worked on outstanding cases related to foreign trade and customs, trade remedies, and international tax matters.
Career: Before becoming a partner at Barral Parente Pinheiro Advogados, Celso worked as an associate at Bichara Advogados (2015-2017), at Mundie e Advogados (2017-2018) and at BMJ Consultores Associados (2018-2023). He was also a Trade Policy Trainee at the Embassy of Brazil at Washington D.C (2013).
Education: Celso holds an LL.B (2010 from the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), a bachelor degree in International Relations (2010) from the Universidade Estadual da Paraíba and a post-graduate degree in Tax Law from Universidade Paulista Unip (2011). He also holds and LL.M (2013) in Economic Law from Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) and a PhD (2021) in International Law from Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
Academic credentials, speaking engagements, etc: He is professor of International Trade at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).
