Carrie Mount is the co-leader of Miller Nash’s insurance recovery team. She represents commercial policyholders across a wide range of industries, providing counsel and advocacy across myriad coverage lines. She has recovered significant insurance benefits for clients through claim negotiations, mediations, appraisals, and litigation including dispositive motion practice and jury trial.
Carrie is particularly experienced in declaratory actions, extra-contractual liability analysis, including under Washington’s Insurance Fair Conduct Act (“IFCA”) and bad faith law, long-tail claims involving historical policy identification, and multi-carrier coverage towers. Carrie also advises clients on insurance issues in agreements, including vendor contracts and mergers and acquisitions. Her creative problem solving, combined with deep knowledge of insurance coverage law, makes her an indispensable advocate for policyholders.
A frequent speaker on insurance coverage topics at national legal conferences, Carrie enjoys the challenge of crafting compelling presentations and making new connections.
