Carlos Harten has 19 years of experience working as a lawyer. He represents clients from a wide range of industries, such as the beverages industry, automobile industry, telecommunications, insurance, banking, oil & gas sector. He is a specialist in litigation.

Carlos acts in civil and corporate litigation, representing companies in the telecommunications, banking, insurance, beverage, consumer, automobile, sugar and alcohol industry and power distribution. Works in the main IRDRs in progress in the Northeast, including the first in the country in matters of security, as well as in collective actions and incidents that form judicial precedents.

Career

He Graduated from the Universidade Católica de Pernambuco and has a Diploma of Advanced Studies (Estudios Avanzados – DEA), from Universidad de Salamanca, where he is currently a Consumer Rights and Law PhD student. He has attended the course Leadership Management Program at INSEAD Fontenebleu/France.

Professional Memberships

He is a Federal Counselor of OAB (Brazilian Bar Association), and President of Insurance Law Commission of OAB (Brazilian Bar Association). He is also a General Secretary of the Lawyers’ Institute of Pernambuco – IAP. Honorary member of IBDS, of the International Association of Insurance Law – AIDA.
