Camille Rioux has been practicing labor law since 2015.
She regularly advises employers from the public, parapublic, and private sectors on issues related to the management of labor relations and human resources, as well as the development of best practices for conflict prevention and resolution.
She is called upon to represent the employer side before courts in matters of collective and individual labor relations, particularly in grievance arbitration, labor standards, termination of employment, or union accreditation cases.
In recent years, she has also been called upon to advise and assist various employers in negotiating collective agreements, including drafting various texts and letters of agreement, as well as acting as the employer spokesperson. She also actively works to support employers during various pressure tactics or labor disputes
She also represents the same employers in litigious matters involving individual and collective employment relations before the civil courts and administrative tribunals, particularly grievance arbitration tribunals and the Administrative Labour Tribunal.
During her legal studies, she articled for several administrative judges with the Commission des lésions professionnelles (now the Administrative Labour Tribunal). She also participated in the reform of the Jurist’s Skills course (Habiletés du juriste) at the Université de Montréal.
Camille joined the dynamic team of Lavery in 2020, after practising for a few years with another firm.
