Calvin Chan

Calvin is managing partner of Reed Smith’s Singapore office. Prior to Singapore, Calvin practiced in New York, London, and Hong Kong. He leads a Chambers and Partners-ranked regulatory enforcement and investigations team that covers the Asia-Pacific region. He is an international disputes and investigations lawyer and has been recognised repeatedly by legal directories for his extensive experience in corporate investigations and international arbitration (and related litigation).

He has led numerous internal investigations and regulatory enforcement and compliance matters. Many of these relate to an inquiry or probe by a government agency or regulator or involve companies that are under monitorship. Calvin regularly advises on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption and bribery laws, securities and accounting fraud, misuse or misappropriation of proprietary data, and related governance and corporate compliance issues. He also handles complex multi-jurisdictional litigation, as well as U.S. litigation matters involving Asia.
