Career
BC Yoon is a leading partner of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration Practice. With 35 years of experience, including serving as counsel in more than 200 complex commercial and investment treaty (ISDS) arbitration cases, he is a foundational authority in Asian-Pacific disputes. He specializes in high-stakes disputes across the energy, automotive, technology, M&A, and construction sectors, with a strong track record of success in major claims, including a landmark post-M&A dispute arising from a life insurance acquisition, and complex PPP/infrastructure claims. His global standing is confirmed by his past governance roles as a Court Member of the LCIA and ICC and a Board Member of SIAC and KCAB. Currently he is contributing as an Inaugural Court Member of the Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre (arbitrateAD). He was designated to the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators by the Republic of Korea.
