Brian Schaps represents contractors, engineers, architects, surveyors and other clients in construction litigation. Brian provides attentive, diligent and forward-thinking representation focused on helping his clients proactively manage risks, evaluate potential liability exposure and achieve favorable resolutions to construction-related disputes. He practices in both state and federal court, and he has significant experience representing clients in arbitration as well.
Before joining Deutsch Kerrigan, Brian served as in-house counsel to a civil construction company and gained significant first-hand experience with the critical issues and challenges that all stakeholders face during large-scale construction projects. During law school, he was a Student Attorney in the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic and a Managing Editor of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal.
In his free time, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and friends while exploring all of the arts, music and food that New Orleans has to offer. He also enjoys traveling and is a die-hard Saints fan.
