Career
Brian Barakat is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Barakat + Bossa and a Board-Certified Business Litigator with more than two decades of experience representing businesses and their owners in complex disputes, investigations, and regulatory matters.
Prior to entering private practice, Brian served as a prosecutor in the Economic and Computer Crimes Unit of the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, where he investigated and prosecuted complex white-collar and financial crimes. Today, his practice focuses on commercial litigation, partnership and shareholder disputes, fiduciary duty claims, restrictive covenant litigation, labor and employment matters, government investigations, aviation disputes, and financial fraud matters.
Having tried hundreds of cases throughout his career, Brian is known for his strategic, trial-focused approach to resolving high-stakes business disputes. Brian is a community leader serving in an executive role in legal, philanthropic and civic organizations.
