Professional liability claims, regulatory investigations and disciplinary proceedings involving accountants and auditors, actuaries, directors, financial entities and professionals, lawyers and tax advisers, as well as general commercial litigation (both onshore and offshore), particularly banking, financial services and insurance. Substantial expertise in multi-party litigation, claims following corporate collapse or failed tax schemes, and pension scheme claims. Ben also acts on claims in the BVI, Cayman and Northern Ireland.

Called to the Bar in 1992. Appointed KC in 2009. Head of Chambers from 2013-2016. Chair of the Professional Negligence Bar Association (PNBA) from 2015-2016. Appointed Senior Decision Maker of Guernsey Financial Services Commission in 2018. Nominated for Chambers & Partners Professional Negligence KC of the Year for 2024, 2013 and 2012, the Legal 500 Disciplinary and Regulatory KC of the Year for 2022, and Chambers & Partners’ Disciplinary KC of the Year for 2015.
