Ben is a highly sought advocate and adviser, whose practice focuses on commercial, insurance and professional liability disputes. He provides a first class service for his many international and domestic clients. He combines intellectual vigour with a modern approach. His clients routinely report that he is easy to work with, understands their needs, and communicates sound commercial advice in a straightforward and comprehensible way. He works tirelessly to secure the best outcome for each of his clients, and is very ready to take matters to trial (or on appeal) if necessary.
Ben has an outstanding academic background: he took a Double First in Law at Cambridge, before completing a Masters in Law at the University of Virginia. Having been admitted to the New York Bar he worked at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York. He returned to London, and was the top ranked student in his year at Bar School. He was one of the first of his year of call to be appointed King’s Counsel. Since taking silk he has been admitted ad hoc to the Bar of the Cayman Islands.
As well as acting as an advocate and adviser, he is also regularly instructed to act as an arbitrator (sole or panel member). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and is a panel member of ARIAS (UK).
