Ayoub Mtafya has been involved in insolvency whereby he has been a Liquidator of several companies, provided advisory on insolvency and petitioned for winding up of companies. He has acted as an administrative receiver of a company and as a Receiver and Manager for banks on recovery of debts. Mr. Mtafya has also been supporting the litigation team in commercial litigation and overall dispute resolution including arbitration.

In taxes, Ayoub Mtafya has provided tax advisory on several tax issues including tax settlement negotiations with the Tanzania Revenue Authority, handled tax objections against Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) decisions, represented clients at the Tanzania Revenue Authority, Tax Revenue Appeals Board, Tax Revenue Appeal Tribunal, and the Tanzania Court of Appeal

• Represented Tanzania Breweries PLC and TBL Employees Trust Fund in an Arbitration case lodged by ex-employees in a claim of USD 24.4 million

• Was part of Deloitte team, NexLaw was engaged by the World Bank in the review of various laws, regulations, and bylaws in the course of assessing PPP projects for Mbeya, Arusha, Mwanza and Moshi Municipalities
