Career

I am a partner and co-head of our firm's International Data Protection Group. Thanks to many years of experience dedicated to data protection, I can provide innovative and practical solutions to clients around the world.

In my role as co-head of our International Data Protection Group, I have extensive GDPR expertise and I assist clients through the twists and turns of local law divergences, so that they can reach global compliance and find practical solutions.

With our dedicated data protection team, we assist extensively on compliance actions and practical implementation such as responses to complaints and exercises of rights, security breach management and notifications, contracts, GDPR required procedures and documentation, assessment of legal basis for processing, of digital compliance (cookies, cyber security), privacy policies, and BCRs, to name a few.

I also have years of practice assisting with dawn raids from data protection authorities and with disputes against the CNIL and other data protection authorities.

Prior to Bird & Bird, I worked at the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL), and as a data protection expert within the European Union Commission, so I have in-house experience with regulators.

I am also particularly involved in data protection certification. I am accredited as an Expert to EuroPriSe, the "European Privacy Seal", so I am entitled to assess data protection compliance at EU level, which allows manufacturers and vendors to obtain EuroPriSe European data protection certification of their IT products, software, websites, and IT-based services. My data protection training seminar, 'Data Protection: Achieving Compliance" was also certified by the CNIL and obtained the 'Label CNIL', and was re-certified in 2018 in compliance with the GDPR. Within our team, we can therefore provide specific training to DPOs so that they can prepare for GDPR certification under the CNIL's official standards.

We do many training seminars in order to keep our clients up to date with new developments, and I am a frequent speaker at data protection conferences and events over the world.
