Partner specialising in all aspects of French and EU competition law with a specific focus on state aid, complex merger control and antitrust litigation. Advises French and international clients in a broad range of sectors, including regulated industries such as transport, telecom, and financial services.
Recent work includes advising: CMA CGM on several acquisitions, including Bolloré Logistics and Altice Media, as well as diverse antitrust and regulatory issues; Engie in the context of the State aid in-depth investigation opened by the European Commission in 2024 in relation to the 10-year extension of the operation of two Belgian nuclear reactors; Carrefour on various antitrust and merger issues including the acquisition of its competitor Cora/Match; SNCF on State aid and merger issues and France’s main banks in litigation proceedings before the European Court of Justice against a series of ECB and SRB decisions.
Career
Antoine founded BDGS Associés in 2013 and is currently also Chairman of the Board of AXA. He was previously Deputy Managing Director of the Caisse des Dépôts (2010-2012), Deputy Director of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet (2007-2010), and partner at Gide Loyrette Nouel’s Brussels office (2002-2007).
