Practice Areas
Anthony is a Partner in the Employment Law team. He qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and ran his own specialist employment law practice for nearly 16 years before joining TWM in September 2018. He is also an accredited mediator.
Anthony has experience of acting for individual employees and employers of various sizes, including businesses without their own HR function as well as larger companies with specialist HR departments. His corporate clients have operated in many business sectors, including pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, specialist vehicle manufacturing, travel, publishing, education and the drinks industry.
As well as managing and preparing employment cases, Anthony has personally conducted advocacy before the Employment Tribunal many times. This has included large and complex cases lasting one week or longer. His advocacy experience extends beyond the Employment Tribunal system. Anthony has also appeared before the Central Arbitration Committee and successfully defended an employer faced with a Trade Union seeking confidential management bonus information during collective bargaining (Unite the Union v Constellation Europe Limited – Case Number DI/3(2007)).
In addition, Anthony provides employment law training to businesses looking to develop the skills of their managers, supervisors and HR professionals. These workshops are designed to be participative and train employees in how to manage common workplace issues within the law rather than focusing on the law in isolation. This approach not only helps engage the delegates, it places the emphasis on teaching the delegates practical skills that they can take away with them into their workplace.
