Anthony Rance

Anthony is a commercial litigator who is also part of CyXcel, Weightmans’ multi-disciplinary team specialising in cyber risk, crisis, incident response and litigation.

Anthony’s commercial litigation practice sees him advise on a broad range of disputes across a variety of sectors. He is regularly instructed to act on disputes arising out of commercial contracts, distressed IT and outsourcing projects, financial disputes, shareholder disputes, cases involving the misuse of confidential information, restraint of trade disputes and also negligence claims, including professional negligence. He has been involved in many high value and complex commercial cases, several of which have involved reported decisions.

As part of Weightmans CyXcel team, Anthony also has substantial experience of assisting clients with data breach and cyber incidents, as well as cyber-related disputes.

Anthony is also highly experienced in alternative dispute resolution and has represented clients at numerous successful mediations and other forms of structured settlement negotiations.
