Anthony Maton, Hausfeld’s Global Co-Chair, has almost 30 years litigation experience. The FT Innovative Lawyers Awards nominated him in the ‘Most Innovative Leader’ category in 2021.
He established Hausfeld as a go-to practice for cartel and Art 102 litigation and is widely credited for his role in the development of European Competition Damages litigation.
Anthony has led some of the largest competition claims brought in Europe including the Marine Hose, Paraffin Wax & Carbon cartels and the Air Cargo litigation for 100+ groups of businesses. He has been instrumental in developing Hausfeld’s collective practice, particularly in bringing the now certified Trains collective and ongoing FX Claim UK. He is a skilled negotiator with the ability to formulate innovative settlement strategies. He was an early adopter of third party funding and ATE and has, together with the leading players, put forward innovative litigation funding solutions for blue chip clients.
With his support, Hausfeld has grown into a broader litigation boutique running high-value and complex commercial/financial cases against the world’s largest financial institutions.
