Annick's practice encompasses the full range of areas linked to the launching and marketing of products and services, including intellectual property and in particular trade marks, distribution, franchising, advertising, consumer protection, product regulation and privacy issues. She acts for numerous prestigious international companies and works on referrals from the world’s most prestigious law firms. She has also solid experience in litigation and negotiations, including with authorities.
Career
Annick Started her career as a trainee lawyer and assistant in criminal procedure with Professor Franchimont at the University of Liège in Belgium (Professor Franchimont is the author of the most important reform of the Belgian criminal procedure code and was knighted in 2007). In 1990, she joined the Benelux law firm Stibbe, where she became partner on 1 January 2000. In 2006 she joined Lydian to lead the IP team for more than 15 years and joined Ethikos in summer 2022, a firm established by one of her former associates and now partner, Thomas Faelli.

Annick is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property Law (AIPPI), the French Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles (APRAM) and of the Association Benelux pour le droit des Marques et Modèles (BMM), as well as of the International League of Competition Law (LIDC).

Annick is fluent in French (mother tongue) and English. She can also work in Dutch.
Experience
Since January 2010, Annick is a member of the Belgian Council for Intellectual Property which advises the Minister of Economic Affairs on all Intellectual Property issues.
From June 2010 to June 2012, she was the President of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA) and has been an active member of its Anti-Counterfeiting Committee from 2000 to 2010.
