Anne Johnson

Anne is one of Texas's top appellate lawyers, with almost 30 years of experience handling litigation at all stages in Texas state and federal courts. Anne has been involved in some of the largest, most high-profile appeals in Texas, representing clients such as Greystar, Boeing, PNC Bank, and Toyota. Anne has particular expertise in post-trial proceedings and appeals from large jury verdicts around the state, and has an impressive track record of successfully resolving these cases on appeal. Anne is frequently called on to get involved in early in high-exposure cases, framing key legal arguments and crafting strategy in motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and at trial.

In 2022, Anne joined Chambers-ranked trial lawyer Jeff Tillotson and Jon Patton to form a trial and appellate boutique – Tillotson Johnson and Patton.

Prior to joining Tillotson and Patton in 2022, Anne was an appellate partner in the Dallas office of Haynes Boone for 26 years, where she served on the firm’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and chaired the Litigation Department.

Anne was born and raised in England, and maintains dual US/UK citizenship. She graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 and from the University of Texas School of Law in 1995. Anne has three children: Finn (24), Theo (22), and Sophie (20).
