Anke Feenstra is managing partner of Hertoghs Advocaten. She specialises in cases involving tax fraud, violation of anti-money laundering legislation, customs and sanction law. Anke also has extensive experience as a trusted advisor on compliance issues. With a proven record as a tax litigator, Anke excels at combining strategies in a criminal defence case and adjacent tax matters, including voluntary disclosure procedures. Anke is well-known for her excellent knowledge of details and her straightforward and duly motivated defence strategies.

Career

Anke was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 2003. She successfully completed the specialisation course for criminal defence lawyers and on board and governance dynamics at the Governance Academy. Anke is an editorial board member of an academic journal for white-collar crime specialists and author of several books and legal publications on international tax evasion and VAT fraud.

Professional Memberships

Anke is a board member of the Dutch Association of Tax Lawyers, secretary of the Criminal Law Committee of the International Bar Association and a member of the Dutch Association of Criminal Defence Lawyers. In 2017 she received the Dutch award ‘patroon van het jaar’.
