Andrew Wirmani is a nationally recognized trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor who handles white-collar criminal defense, complex commercial litigation, and plaintiff-side False Claims Act cases. His nearly decade as an Assistant United States Attorney gives him a distinctive edge in both criminal and civil work. During his time as an AUSA, Andrew served as the lead prosecutor in the investigation and trial of the Forest Park Medical Center case, which resulted in the conviction of several Dallas-area surgeons. The case was followed closely by multiple media outlets, which cited it as the most important white-collar prosecution in Texas since Enron.

At Reese Marketos, Andrew leads the firm’s white-collar defense practice, representing companies and individuals in DOJ and SEC investigations, grand jury proceedings, enforcement actions, and criminal trials. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies to individuals facing regulatory scrutiny. He regularly advises on early-stage risk assessment, engagement strategy with prosecutors, and trial posture, and is often retained when a matter requires immediate credibility with the government.

Andrew also brings the same courtroom leadership to complex commercial disputes. In 2024, he was trial counsel on the five-lawyer team that secured a $1.64 billion False Claims Act judgment against a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary after a six-week jury trial. He first-chaired a four-day AHLA healthcare arbitration that eliminated the plaintiff’s claims and produced a seven-figure award for the defense. He also represented the lead defendant in a high-profile Anti-Kickback Statute case, securing probation despite the client facing up to five years in prison.

His deep understanding of how the government builds cases from the inside allows him to unwind those same narratives in court.
