Andreas Liepe is the Group General Counsel at BMW Group, overseeing legal affairs, patents, and group compliance. He joined the company in 2005 and was appointed to the top legal role in 2019, after holding a series of senior leadership roles within the in-house team. He also spent several years in Beijing as Head of Legal Affairs for BMW Group China, giving him first-hand experience of the group’s priorities in a key market. Based in Munich, he advises senior leadership on governance, regulatory and contentious risk, helping ensure legal guidance remains closely aligned with business decision-making.
