Andrea Huber is a Partner at Pestalozzi and a member of the firm’s Financial Services Group. She is a Swiss-qualified regulatory, structuring, and transactions lawyer with more than 20 years of experience advising domestic and international financial institutions. Andrea’s practice covers the full breadth of banking and financial services regulation, including asset management and investment funds, fintech and digital assets, insurance regulation, internal and regulatory investigations, enforcement, and white-collar crime.
Andrea regularly represents clients before the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), the SIX Swiss Exchange, and the CDB Supervisory Board (VSB Aufsichtskommission). She advises banks, asset managers, securities firms, fund management companies, insurance companies, investment advisors, distributors, and global financial groups on licensing, governance, market conduct, disclosure, and cross-border regulatory matters. Her work includes the structuring and launch of investment vehicles, including Swiss-regulated funds, foreign funds distributed in Switzerland, and innovative structures such as L-QIFs. She frequently supports clients in the design and rollout of banking, trading, custody, payment, and asset management services for institutional and retail clients. Andrea also assists fund management companies, banks, promoters, and distributors with the structuring, listing, and offering of funds and structured products, as well as compliance with Swiss regulatory, AML, KYC, and prudential standards.
Beyond advisory and transactional mandates, Andrea provides Expert Opinions for national and foreign courts, authorities, and arbitral tribunals on matters of Swiss financial market law, governance, supervisory regulation, and market conduct rules. Andrea is an Authorized Representative of Issuers at the SIX Swiss Exchange and serves as Co-Chair of the International Bar Association’s (IBA) Banking Regulation Subcommittee for the 2025-2026 term.
