Her capital markets experience includes advising on debt issuances and restructurings under Panamanian securities regulations, as well as Rule 144A offerings, tender offers, and exchange offers.

As a member of the firm's Banking & Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups, Ana Isabel has advised on numerous high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions, including the acquisition and sale of general license banks, a leading telecommunications provider, and one of the largest supermarket chains in Panama.

In her banking and finance practice, she represents lenders and borrowers, including financial institutions, multinational corporations, public and private companies, and multilateral organizations, in the structuring, negotiation, documentation, and execution of secured and unsecured financing transactions. Her experience spans a wide range of financing structures, from bilateral and syndicated facilities to capital markets debt offerings.

Ana Isabel also advises clients on local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and complex transaction structures, including public tender offers. Her practice combines strong transactional capabilities with a deep understanding of regulatory and commercial considerations, enabling her to guide clients through sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional transactions.

Experience

Prior to entering private practice, Ana Isabel spent four years at Panama’s largest private bank, gaining firsthand experience in the financial industry and a commercial perspective that adds depth to her legal advice.
