Alfred Saikali

All things relating to the laws governing the collection, use, storage, transmission, and deletion of sensitive information. This includes incident response, incident response readiness, building global privacy programs, and representing companies in class action lawsuits and regulatory enforcement actions arising from data breaches or alleged privacy violations.

Al is chair of the Privacy and Data Security Practice. He began his career as an appellate court staff attorney, where he learned how judges analyze legal issues. He leveraged this experience to begin his private practice career as an appellate and trial support lawyer in commercial litigation matters. Al recognized that privacy and data security law had a strong future and matched well with his personal interests. He started a blog, began writing and speaking about the topic, took on some pro bono matters, and eventually built a highly successful privacy and data security practice at Shook.
