Alexandra is a partner based in our London office who specialises in aviation insurance.
Her area of practice comprises handling of all types of aviation liability claims, including management of complex multi-jurisdictional claims, baggage, cargo, hull, personal injury and general aviation business. She has experience of legal systems throughout the world but with an emphasis on Russia, former Soviet Union countries and Eastern Europe.
She is lead Counsel handling claims arising from the following major accidents: Metrojet, Reg EI-ETJ at Egypt (2015), and Tatarstan Airlines, B737-500 at Kazan (2013). Alexandra played an active role in the handling of claims arising from the following major losses: Aeroflot, B737-500 at Perm (2008); Sibir, A310 at Irkutsk (2006); KAM Air, B737-200 near Kabul (2005); UM Air, YAK-42D Turkey (2003); Sibir, TU154 Black Sea (2001); Vlad Avia, TU154 at Irkutsk (2001); and Aeroflot A310 at Mezhdurechensk (1994).
Alexandra is recognised in the London Aviation Insurance Market as the ‘go to lawyer’ for aviation claims in Russia, countries of CIS and Eastern Europe.
She is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers and the Russian Association of Aviation and Space Insurers (RAASI), and regularly lectures on aviation and insurance topics and contributes to The Aviation Law Review publication.
