Career
She led the prosecution of Glencore for Bribery offences and continues to advise the SFO in their ongoing investigation. She is instructed to prosecute a former Nigerian Oil Minister for corruption and is currently advising a number of clients in relation to investigations into bribery and insider dealing. She was instructed on behalf of a senior bank official in the LIBOR lowballing investigation which was discontinued by the SFO. She represented, privately, the 1st defendant in a 12-handed, 5-month conspiracy to defraud. She successfully defended Clodagh Hartley, the Sun Whitehall editor, in the first Operation Elveden case to acquit a journalist.
She has both defended and prosecuted in murder and serious gang related violent crime. She successfully prosecuted a serving police officer for manslaughter in relation to the death of Dalian Atkinson. She successfully prosecuted police officers for misconduct in public office, in relation to their failure to investigate allegations of child abuse.
