As a Senior Associate in our Consumer Finance team, Alexandra specialises in consumer credit and the associated regulatory landscape.

Since joining the firm in July 2019, she has diligently cultivated her expertise in CCA regulations both in the contentious arena and in the regulatory advisory and product development realms within our consumer finance team.

Holistic Advisory:

Alexandra provides invaluable counsel on a wide spectrum of topics, including consumer credit, the FCA Handbook, and the Consumer Duty. Her expertise extends to all aspects of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Notably, she advises on motor finance, consumer protection, and the nuances of unfair terms legislation within the context of retail financial services.

Landmark Case:

Alexandra led a prominent case in the Court of Appeal during her litigation years, exploring the expansion of section 75 protection, demonstrating her legal acumen and strategic thinking.

Beyond Legal Practice:

Her commitment to giving back is evident through mentoring initiatives at the firm, local universities, the Law Society, and participation in the Judiciary’s reverse mentoring scheme.

Podcast Host:

Alexandra co-hosts the engaging “Conversations in Credit” podcast alongside Jo Owens, providing insightful discussions on legal and financial topics.

Education

Alex studied law at Coventy University 2010-2013 where she obtained a First Class degree. In 2016-2018, she completed her training contract at a regional law firm and joined Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP in 2019.

She ran Coventry Legal Advice Service from 2011 to 2013, supporting student exposure to the legal industry.
