Career

Mr. Fischer graduated as a lawyer from Universidad de Chile and earned his LLM from New York University Law School. He also completed an advanced professional certificate in law and finance at NYU's Stern Business School, as well as the international tax program at Harvard University Law School. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 2002.

Prior to founding Fischer y Cía. (formerly BF&C) in 2016, he was a partner and co-head of the tax practice at Carey. Before that, he worked as an associate at the New York law firm Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and served as Ernst & Young's representative for the Chilean desk in New York City.

In 2023, he was appointed as an Advisor of the Taxpayer's Ombudsman at the Ministry of Finance.
