His main fields of activity are litigation, specially in civil, tax and administrative courts and the Andean Tribunal, and intellectual property, specially patents. He has handled relevant cases on behalf of Philip Morris, Procter & Gamble, Texaco (now Chevron), Pfizer, Merck, including arbitration.
Permanent Co-Judge of the Superior Court of Quito (1988-92, 2000-04); Chief Legal Advisor for the Presidency of the Republic specifically for President Leon Febres Cordero(1985-87); Profesor in: Universidad Catolica de Quito and Guayaquil, Universidad Central del Ecaudor, Universidad del Azuay and Universidad Anidna Simon Bolibar. Arbitrator in an average of 12 arbitrations per year.
