For more than 30 years, he has been working for national and international UHNW families and captains of industry. He is recommended consistently in many international rankings (eg Chambers tier 1). He specialises in estate planning, family property law (relational property law, inheritance law, wills and donations), family dynamics and governance. His work involves facilitating next gen and family wealth processes as well as negotiation, mediation, collaborative law and arbitration of family business, inheritance and divorce conflicts and disputes.

Alain-Laurent is a Full Professor of Private Law and ADR, Chair of Family Property Law (Trusts and Estates) and Negotiation & Mediation at the University of Leuven and Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. He also is Professor of Law at Tilburg University and UCP Lisbon Global School of Law.
