AIMEE FAGAN is Co-leader of Sidley’s IP Litigation practice. Aimee is an outstanding trial lawyer with a passion for litigating complex, high-stakes matters involving IP, technology and commercial disputes for leading companies from the energy, oil and gas, technology, financial services, private equity, and biotech industries, among others. She has considerable experience litigating cases in both federal and state courts with particular expertise in cases centered around trade secret misappropriation, patent infringement, trademark, contract, unfair competition, fraud and business disputes. She has also assisted in and advised on governmental investigations in matters involving scientific and technological issues, IP transactions, and IP investments/acquisitions.
Aimee has been a supporter of her community and law school, having served multiple terms as Chair of the Trial Skill Section of the Dallas Bar Association. Aimee has received wide recognition, frequently speaks at trade and bar conferences, and has been interviewed and published in a variety of media. She has been recognized as Litigator of the Year – Texas and one of the Top 250 Women in IP Litigation by Managing IP (2024), one of the 500 most influential business leaders in North Texas by D CEO (2023), received the “Distinguished Alumni Award” by SMU Women in Law (2025), was a finalist for Texas Lawyer’s Intellectual Property Attorney of the year (2024), and has been repeatedly recognized as a Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation and as an IP Star by Managing IP. In 2020, Texas Lawyer recognized Aimee as one of three “Top Women in IP”. She has also been recognized by Lawdragon as one of the 500 Leading Litigators in America.
